Cristal & Matthew - Mercure Hotel Ballarat Wedding

4 April 2016

Why all brides should really, at least try on a veil, and consider having one for their wedding day. . .

These images from Cristal and Matthew's wedding day, held at The Mercure Hotel and Convention Centre in Ballarat, really prove one huge point that I always love to explain to my wedding couples. . . every bride should consider wearing a veil!

Bridal veils are fabulous for a number of reasons:

  • They create a sense of movement in an image (let's embrace the windy days in Ballarat)
  • They act to softly frame the face and add to the romaticism of the day
  • They are great to drape over arms to detract from this area of the body if needed
  • Did I mention I love them?                                                                                                                                                                                       If not, I love them because they are so fun to use as a prop for wedding photography! You can always take them off whenever you like throughout the day also.

Now to share some of the many incredible moments from Cristal and Matthew's wedding day!  A hand's down favourite part for me was hearing their 'proposal story' - it was so incredible! Ladies you will be envious to hear what efforts Matthew went to! (Hopefully Cristal or Matthew will post it below for us to read again)

One of the other impressive moments was the extremely professional manner the civil ceremony was presented. Jane Austin, civil mariage celebrant from Let's get Married, showed a combination of great charisma and passion which really drew in the family and friends on the day, showcasing Matthew and Cristal's story beautifully. The musical duo, Something Borrowed - duo band, had us all captivated from the first notes! Fabulous wedding providers have the ability to make a great day even better!

A special mention needs to go out to Jacob, Cristal and Matthew's son, who was very entertaining! Boy does that little man have confidence! You'll see what I mean once you view the movie below.

The styling in the reception room, was really luxurious and colourful, making a lovely 'wow' factor for the guests!
